whenever i try something unfamiliar or go on a date
or do stuff that usually makes people nervous i get like
a nervous twitch kinda thing happening. and it always screws up
everything, is there some kind of medicine or something i can eat or drink that will keep me calm or at least not twitchy and super shakey.

You're suffering from these symptoms because you lack self esteem. These issues make you focus in on things that your imagination makes up. Try exercises that make you more confident. Maybe exercising period. What you need is a self esteem makeover not something that comes out of a bottle but if you're too lazy, try the old fashion Hollywood fix...whiskey.

Before you try to medicate your problems away, I think you're better off trying all other approaches. Medication is expensive, has yucky side effects, and doesn't really solve the root of the problem

Learn coping stratagies to deal with your stress. If you can't do it on your own, it's ok to see a counselor or therapist to work through your problems

Accept that for most anyone dating is stressful and will make people feel nervous and worried.

Take a deep breath next time. Learn to force relaxation. Look into mediation.

Of course there is something you can take for nervousness - it's called Calms by Highland brands. It is a natural, homeopathic tablet that you can take to calm your nerves. It is non-addictive and works quite well. You can purchase it at Wal-mart, Rite Aid, or any vitamin shop. They are very inexpensive. Take 1 tab approx. 30 min. before you need to do something. You might want to try them out before you try something new, start with 1 tab and if you don't feel calm enough take 1 more tab. I know I only need 1, but if I have a problem sleeping I take 2. Everyone reacts differently to things. Anyways, give them a try and see if they help! Good Luck!

There are a lot of prescription drugs you can get for nervousness. Be sure to get a thorough analysis done before you seek medication, or if you even need it. I have been on a few meds such as Effexor, Paxil, and Celexa. None of them worked for me but you never know. Saint John's wort is a natural herb that helps nervousness as well. It that doesn't work, there is always good nutrition and exercise.

You might benefit from meditation or visualization, walking yourself through scenarios where you see yourself succeed in unfamiliar or stressful situations.

There are also some antidepressants which have anti-anxiety effects - they require a prescription.

Calming teas are chamomile or peppermint - definitely avoid caffeine.

Yeah, take a B complex vitamin and drink tea instead of coffee

ye I think you have anxiety. Doctor's usually prescribe Xanax or Klonopin. It makes you be relaxed!

sounds like anxiety.

talk to your doctor, they should be able to direct you to a mental health practitioner or psychiatrist who can prescribe an anti-anxiety medication (prozac or zoloft or the like) that will help.

take vitamin B Complex. it's the natural thing for nerves and stress/tension.
