it doesn't always have to go somewhere. just take it a day at a time, celebrating the little anniversaries instead of looking foward to the big ones....if you really like him you'll know when you're supposed to take the next step.

Do you spend quality time together? Do you laugh together? Does he treat you with repect and include you in his activities? Does he do little things to make you happy or smile?
If not - then its not going anywhere......
