I'm a pretty shy guy and I like this really smart and talentend shy girl at my school. The problem is we have no classes together, and I rarely see her. I have contacted some of her friends to help me in the situation, but so far it seems getter her to know me may take a long time. I'm a junior, so I want to be able to go out with her so I can take her to the junior prom im may 07. I have caught her in the library and other random places; with me saying little more than a shy 'hi'. What should I do so I could have better chances talking with her?

Try and find out what some of her interests are outside of school. Then "run" into her somewhere and spark up a conversation. In highschool there's so much to talk about. Football games, sports, classes, teachers, what she wants to do when she's older, if she's looked at any colleges, etc. Just small talk and be yourself. It gets easier to talk as the conversation progresses. If it goes good, tell her you you'de like to talk to her again sometime. Get her phone number or screen name to im her. She'll probably give it to you, because you seem like a nice guy. But try not to get your hopes up that high right away. If she is shy she might not trust you at first and may take longer to get to know her. Just be yourself!!! Thats the most important thing! Good Luck :)

Well, shyness could be a reason he has not approached you. It’s a very common trait among performers. But I don’t know if that’s the reason. After all, he said for you to “come up and say hi”, so clearly the ball is on your court. It’s up to you to make the move. Unless you approach him he could be thinking you lost interest.

You just need to open up a bit. Every guy interested in a girl needs to make the first move because no girl wants to make that first move. You just need to be straight up with her and tell her how you feel. Ask her out or something, anything. Ask her to party with you one weekend or something. It'll work. You just need to try.
