Democrats are for big government taking care of us all and raising taxes to do it and Republicans are for personal responsibility and smaller government and lower taxes.

Primarily the Republican party believes in less government control of the economy and the people doing what they think is best for themselves will lead to the best for society as a whole. The old saying was "What's good for General Motors is good for the USA". Democrats think the government should be in charge of making sure everything is "fair" and people can only get rich by forcing others into poverty so the government should even the playing field by redistributing the wealth. While most wealthy Republicans are business executives, most wealthy Democrats are politicians.

I don't know of anyone that enjoys listening to the bickering of one side versus the other. We need to set the habit of casting blame at one side or the other, unless their is a judisial reason. The country needs to let go of "who has created the biggest media mess up" and start researching the parties/individuals achievements. Everyone reading this has the resources at their finger tips. Sure they've all messed up. I suppose we have ourselves to blame for looking at the failures and not the achievements.

The only difference is that the parties are constantly changing to oppose the opposition when it reflects the peoples voting patterns.

It boils down to this (and this does not take into account the craziness of politicians today)

Republicans believe in less government in your lives.

Democrats believe that the government should play a bigger role in your life.

For example, Democrats think there should be Universal Health Care for every person in America. Republicans think people should be responsible for that on their own.

Democrats think that Welfare should be increased. Republicans think it should be eliminated, except for those who can't take care of themselves.

Republicans are conservative and believe a lot more in church country and money. They also want to help the poor by getting them jobs rather than sit on there butt's collecting welfare.

Democrats are liberal. They believe in big government and social responsibility. Also more environmental. Also they want to take care of everyone even if they don't want to work

Dems want to have a socialistic country, while rep want a capitalistic country. We were designed for capitalism.

Lets look at it this way. Remember the old saying you can give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for a life time.

The dems want to give away fish, so these people really on the government. The rep want to teach everyone how to fish and let them support themselves.

democrats are generally working low to middle class where republicans are usually rich business owners or trustfund babies. The repbulicans don't have to work all the time so they go to church in their spare time to convince others that they are more intune with god and the world as a whole. Since the democrats have to work and actually pay the taxes we really don't have a voice.
