Jennifer, you in the UK, if so, you will not have a criminal record. The only place it is recorded is on your d/l and at Swansea, Driving licence centre. To have a criminal record you have your finger prints taken, photo and DNA, plus questions for a file. If you were nicked for drink driving, none of them happened , right.

in the UK not necessarily-if someone is injured or killed as a result of your driving which has been proven to have been impaired by drink or drugs then yes you have commited a criminal offence the same applies if you have damaged someones property. if however you were stopped by a police officer for being in charge of a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and nobody else is involved then you are in violation of the road traffic act this is a motoring offence and would not show up on a criminal record-but it should do there is no excuse for drink-driving.

Yes, even though it is a traffic matter, the offence is know as recordable, which means that you will get a Police Nationional Computer number ID(PNCID) as well as a Criminal Records Office Number(CRO) as well as giving the police power to take fingerprints DNA and photograph.

If you were charged or given a citation, you have a criminal record. The citation , depending on the state, stays on your driving record for a certain length of time while a criminal charge will stay with you forever, unless the court will expunge the record.

Yes and No, yes you do have a criminal record if it is classified as a Felony, and No if it is a misdemeanor. Either way it will be on your record. It is up to the person or employer that is looking at your record, if they consider it criminal or not!

yes, indeed it does. If you were to apply for a job and the application form asked for any convictions , you would have to state this. this even applies if you have a driving offence such as driving without insurance, speeding etc. any offence you are convicted of goes on your criminal record.
