Do you know a scholarship that I can sign up for that is guarunteed besides HOPE? I live in Georgia, am a college freshman, and I have done a lot of research and wrote essays for lots of scholarships, but haven't heard back from them!

Just to clear things up, I DO have a B average and I do have the HOPE scholarship, but I need more money for school!

Did you not qualify for HOPE? Does that mean you don't have a "B" average?

Your best bet is to go to your school to check out scholarship opportunities. My kid's school publishes each school scholarship and the criteria.

Once you select your major then there are departmental opportunities.

Most of the scholarships are granted before school starts. Odds are, if you haven't heard yet, you don't have the scholarship. Based on your grammatical usage in your question, I have doubts that you will.

What about your college? Does it offer scholarships to students who maintain a certain GPA? What about the honor societies or student associations in your school? Do they offer scholarships?
