Oh. By the way I see no evidence that Jesus was homeless. He had a family who went to go take him HOME after they though he went crazy.

Are there homeless preachers? Alot of Americans support preachers financially. I cannot say I have ever seen one homeless. I think maybe this is just a troll question. It draws to a conclusion and suggests innuendo as to all preachers affiliated with big churches. Whatever "big churches" is supposed to mean. Why don't you make a statement of fact instead of a question of supposition? I am an atheist and this homeless preacher vs. "big church" preacher is a dreamed up or imaginary thing. I don't think they compete with each other nor has anyone heard of such nonsense.

Not all Christians do. Only some evangelical Christians listen to the rich preachers.

The Church in the book of Acts in the bible, and this is the first Church after Jesus' death - - This first Christian Church was held in small groupings in peoples homes. There were no big buildings whatsoever. And most of these owners of these small churches were poor.
Most of the followers of Jesus after his death that went to these small churches within peoples homes often gave food, clothing and occasionally money.

Even the concept of tithing (giving 10%) of ones income to the church, began in the Old Testament in the book of Malichi. And giving 10% of ones income is not spoken of in the New Testament, but many churches today do ask for the 10%.
In the New Testament it only talks about giving whatever you can, for God loves a cheerful fiver. This is all it says. Honestly, and I do not judge you. This was a very good question!!!

Hope this little bit of info., helps.

If the homeless preachers were any good, then they'd be the rich ones with the big churches.

I think it is because they fell that because the preacher has money then all is good with him and God.That God has really blessed him. If they listen to him they stand a chance to be the same way. What does the homeless have to show about what God has done for him.
Poor things giving away all their money in the name of Christianity.

Its a prestige thing, self pride.. and society. this day and time.. Haven,t you ever heard that pride comes before a fall... also have you heard it will be easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it will be for a rich man enter into the kingdom of God..People are so proud to say,,, well I sent my tithes to so and so... thinking it makes them look and feel better as a christen but as a matter of fact it doesn,t... they are selfish people not following the will of the Lord... God only sees the heart of every person.. he sees nothing but the heart... Just have to pray for people to see the light before its too late.. I believe in helping people whom need it.. not give just to receive nor do I send money to the rich... Hope this helps... mary..

beacuse those are the people that want to sit in the big church and listen to the rich pastor cause they think that they will end up doing as well as he is. But a poor pastor that has a healthy and well congregation has more in his heart than one that has lots and a congregation that suffers daily from things like homelessness and hunger. So many of these big churches ask and ask form money but it isnt to help those that sit in their congregation but someone else. To build a bigger church or a private school that most of the people attending the church woudlnt be able to afford.

Homeless preachers seem to have more credence if you ask me. I have seen a few that could really get worked up.

I listen to everything, the poor, the rich, the middle class, the lonely, the outgoing, the children, the elderly, the family, the leaves, the sun, the birds, the wind, the peace. It all has a message.

It only seems this way because the money that these preachers have allow them to get their message out to more people. Personally, I would rather listen to someone who is genuine that someone flambouyant.

As Mr. Ed says do they? Does every "christian" really listen to fancy rich preachers? Do you listen to either?
