Yes it is very normal for a girl to masturbate Especially as they go into puberty. When they hit that stage then their hormones kick in and they feel different things. I think the fact that she is exploring herself is awesome. So many girls don't know what to do when they have these feelings that usually they seek answers in the wrong places. Good for your friend. Yep.....it's normal, healthy, relaxing, enjoyable.....and recommendable! Many girls discover "themselves" when they're very young, either by sheer coincidence or from self-exploration. Very normal, most girl (including myself) do it and it is very healthy for the girls sex drive. It helps her "wake up" her g-spot. Girls have a hard time having an orgasm every time they have sex and masturbating helps not only to get the girl off, but also helps her ability to orgasm when having sex with her partner.
