Is it reality TV and none of the reality couples but one has flourished.

No, I don't think many of them work at all. I think the Bridezilla's behavior starts as something they think is "cute" and their "right" at first. They act like horrible, spoiled monsters prior to the wedding and within 12 hours, it's all over. But meanwhile, that demanding, rude, Diva-Princess behavior has become a habit, and their so-called man has been tolerating it. I find it hard to believe these women suddenly change into loving wives the next morning. They've learned that they can get away with being horrible and moody, and eventually drive their husband away.

Its really hard to say. I watch Bridezillas often and sometimes I can't believe what the brides do and say. My husband and I got married in June and I was never once a bridezilla. Its ok to get stressed out about things but to go all out crazy is a little much. I guess if the man that is marrying the Bridezilla on the show truly loves her and can deal with her being like that then more power to him.

The televised "bridezillas" generally play it up and are in it for the attention. Since they want so much attention it is unlikely that any marriage they enter will work until they learn to put others on the same lvl as themselves.

As for real "bridezillas" it is often a very short-term "psychosis" that will subside on the day of the wedding, resulting in a VERY tired bride. This bride's wedding is generally no more doomed than any other in the world today (though that isnt saying much when divorce rates are so high).

Don't forget that these people are playing up for publicity and the thrill of being on television. It's somewhat more probable that the applicants for Bridezilla are in it for other reasons than a life long commitment to someone who loves them.

I think TV makes things worse than they really are...a lot of it is staged, I'm sure.
