My advice is to shop around for good tattoo artist in very sterile and clean shops. Don't really go for price, find an competent artist who has a good portfolio, who should be capable of drawing up your design for you!

That is what tattoo artists do...and art SHOULD be what they love and are good at. You could probably bring in a picture(not another person's tattoo..stealing other people's custom tattoos sucks!), and tell them what you want in full detail, just give htem a good description, and they should be able to help you!

That is what to do when it doubt about a design! Talk to a local artist and see what they can do for you!

Not saying that you shouldnt look for a picture online for a tattoo, but i found that because i drew out my tattoos the best i could and then had the tattoo artist draw them better and modified them, they were the best tattoos ever. Right now im working on my half sleve, all chicken scratch drawings but i know my tattoo artist can make them awesome!

Since you have internet, just search the web for pictures. Print out your favorites, cut them out, and tape them where you want it to get an idea if it's something you really want. That's how I did my dragon tattoo. You can also change the color's on it on most photo editing stuff, so if you find a cool picture but ugly colors it's easily fixable.

Try www.bullseye.com they have some good tattoos. All check some books to get a photo. Sometimes if you bring the item that you want tattooed, the artist can draw it for you. Good luck!!
