The Book of Mormon makes the bold statement that Jesus Christ visited people in America and invited them to "feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am...the God of the whole earth, and have been slain for the sins of the world. ... Ye are they of whom I said: Other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice..." (3 Nephi 11:14, 15:21).

Mormons say that the resurected Jesus Christ was in America preaching to American Indians that were descended from a lost tribe from the House of Israel who left neither a linguistic nor an archaeological trace.

BTW, the Second Coming hasn't happened yet !!!

DNA studies have shown no evidence of a connection between American Indians and Israel. DNA data, as well as anthropological studies, indicate American Indians are descended from Northeast Asians who migrated across the Bering Sea between 7,000 and 50,000 years ago. Nothing supports migration of Jewish people before Columbus.

The Book of Mormon describes the occurrence of Hebrew civilizations in the Americas numbering in the millions. Occording to the Book of Mormon Lamanites would have numbered in the millions in about 400 AD. The Mormons think such large numbers of people existed but have somehow managed to escape detection.

The Mormons are delusional; they believe in a false Jesus. The Mormon Jesus is not the Jesus Christ of the Bible. Their Jesus is first born son of their self-exalted polygamist man-god whose second son was Satan. They openly teach that Jesus and Satan were brothers. Many Mormons believe Jesus was a polygamist and married to several wives including Mary Magdalene and the other Mary.

3 Nephi is where Jesus visits America. I'll include the link.

3 Nephi chapter 8 sort of "sets the stage"

Based upon the book of Mormon Christ did appear in America. However I can't say without also qualifying that I believe the book of Mormon is false, a tale created by the creative mind of one Joesph Smith.

It says that when he was resurrected and told Mary that he was going to tend flocks in other lands, and then was gone for 3 days, that he came to America.

No, Jesus did not visit America. The Republicans stopped him at the border.

The Book of Mormon was dreamed up in the 19th Century--don't take it seriously. And it was Joseph Smith, not John, for the previous answerer.

The book of mormon is false. Joseph Smith claims God spoke to him and gave him the book of mormon to explain/expand the Bibile...so that means the original Bible wasn't perfect? Wasn't to God's liking? yeah...I don't think so!

John Smith pulled that crap out of a hat trying to impress a girl. Then when she said she lost it he did it again & it was totally different. Don't waste your time with that cult.
