Seizures can be caused by neurological disorders (which may be treatable with surgery or medication); disease or poisoning.
You need to get your cat to a vet and have it checked out to see which of the causes (neurological, disease or poisoning) is affecting your cat, and then the vet can tell you how to combat the issue. (You won't be able to put a stop to it by simply rubbing his tummy.)
Some cats, like some dogs, are prone to chronic seizures and may need medication all of their lives to help curb the frequency, duration and level of the seizure.
The longer you wait to get your cat to a vet, the more severe the problem may become, so don't delay...

Actually, there really is nothing you can do for him/her. I had a manx cat and he was doing the same thing. He would be standing and then all of a sudden his head would start wobbling and he would fall over. We took him to the vet and she said he had idiopathic syndrome. Basically that means that they don't know what it is and that they didn't know how to treat it. She said eventually it would get better by itself. My cat's seizures started happening closer together and for longer periods of time, And he wouldn't recover, finally he died a few months ago. The vet said she didn't really know why and that it was a rare case. He was only a year old. I hope your cat gets better and I would stringly recommend seeing a vet and good luck!

He needs a vet. Especially if this is a new thing. Many illnesses and conditions start with seizures and end in death.
Seizures are nothing to fuss with. Even if he seems fine after, there is brain damage with every seizure.
If they are even seizures. You don't know for sure, maybe he is just happy to have a pet. You need the advise of a vet. PRONTO!!!

I would go to the vet. Is he foaming at the mouth? What do his eyes look like when he does this?
Or he loves his back to be rubbed so much it puts him in a trance. My cat falls over when I brush him....he will drool too sometimes. It just feels so good.
