I just read an article where a fraternity was in deep #*+%,because of a Halloween in the hood party. Yes I did read the whole article and I don't see what the uproar is all about and yes I am white. I don't see white people sueing everytime someone of a different color does something to offend them. Maybe if all the different races of people start watching and sued everytime like the black race does, all this stupidy would stop. Am I the only one tired of hearing "Poor Black People" So come on and let me have it!!! I'm a big girl. I give my word I won't sue you if you say anything downing me!!!!

After reading some of the answers so far. I have to comment. I see I have upset a few and I knew I would. Talk about bigotry would you... All I wanted to know was why (I won't use the B word) a certain race-color-whoever got upset because at john hopkins a fraternity and it could be any one had a halloween party, they hung a skelton out and NAACP are planning on sueing because it offended these people. Let's turn this around. Lets say some really nice African-Americans had a party and they hung a skelton out and they were using southern slangs (im from the south), would that be a reason for me to get offended and call in the big guns and sue?? Are they going to every house who have offensive decorations and sue? I personally don't like coffins but i'm not going to sue every one who has one out for halloween. I think people who like to call people racist or bigots are just as judgemental as the ones they flog.

I am an African. And i say that black people are too busy thinking about and spending too much time on what the past held for them. I understand that at some point in time we were wronged and there is no way you can know where you are headed if you do not acknowledge where you come from. But it think we black people spend too much time focusing on the past. I know i will get ti for this response but i have to say it. It is almost as if we want people to feel sorry for us. We have to stand up and make a difference and do not expect one to come from the sky. It is almost like if we feel the someone still owes us something for the wrong that was committed against us.
We have to get out of that mentality before it is too late.

Because racism can be a slippery slope. If someone gets away with a racial statement or a racially-motivated action, then people will think they can get away with worse and worse, so the african-americans react right away because the possibility does exist in society for racial relations to break down again and whites to publicly think they are superior to blacks. Furthermore being surrounded by an enviroment which says one race is better than another will eventually effect your subconsciousness and you will start to believe it without realizing it, so they want to stamp out any anti-racial statements to begin with.

it's called revenge of the black peeps. maybe white people need to sue them back. then the only ones getting rich will be the lawyers. greed comes in every colour and the blacks are just using this venue to make a buck. otherwise they would settle their lawsuits for an apology and a dollar. as for others go back to your old country and see how white folks are treated sometimes they are treated like second class citizens do we sue there??? grow up and learn some tolerance, as a white man i have had to do it lots so should you

Well we are tiredof white people oppressing not just black people but other races as well. You guys are a evil race of people and you think you are so much better than any one ese. I believe you guys came from that 1/3 of angels Satan took with him when he got kick out of heaven because you guys are the only race w/ no pigment in your skin or soul. And if we didn't have the NAACP fighting for us you bastard would still try to have us in slavery!!!
