Never been Catholic - Never been any kind of religion. Mother was religious to the extent that "Well maybe there is something... but no-one really knows". Father is the most wonderful, intelligent, sensible, caring man. No-one ever had a better mum and dad than I did, as far as I'm concerned. Father taught me to think rationally and critically, to question everything, not to take people's word for things but to figure out for myself what makes sense and what does not.

1) For a short time I went to catholic school, yes. First and second grade. It was fine, there were no nuns beating on us or anything. The worst that happened was being bored to tears with church every day.

2) no

3) no

Edit: Yes-man, read the answers here again and reevaluate your statements. Everything here points to exactly the opposite of what you're saying.

My parents were both baptized but I wasn't. When I professed an interest in science, they encouraged it. The only time I've been to church was for 2 weddings, A halloween event held in a church (that is a whole other issue in itself) about 10 years ago and to an easter celebration *shudders* THAT was creepy.

Love both my parents

I was christened by a priest when I was born, I was never confirmed. I never went to Catholic church growing up (other than a couple of weddings). My mom is an atheist, my father a pagan. I love my father.

Raised as Reform Jew. Went to a secular school but also went to Sunday school (and oftentimes enjoyed it). Currently, my father is only one in my household who I really get along with. He's also the strongest monotheist of the household.

Catholic here, was studying for the priesthood by the time my faith and I went our separate ways. It had nothing to do with Catholicism, though, but everything to do with the Bible itself and its many flaws and errors.
