It may be that the computer you are now looking at it on does not support the font that you initially typed it in, try highlighting the whole text and pick a font from the top of the page, if this doesnt work take a font name from the computer and reload the piece into the original computer and change all the text into the font that is supported

Highlight the documents, and change it to a different font. If Word is unable to find a font, it will replace the missing letter(s) with a little square box. Hopefully if you reset the font you will get the document back.

Hi ya,
this could be either one of 2 things
1, the document has become currupted
2, the font that you used on the computer when your created the document is not on the computer that you are opening it on
If it is the latter, then you could try selcting the entire document, and changing the font to one that is available on this computer
cheers

Hello... chances are, it's a font issue. Try highlighting the text once the file is open, and changing the font to see if it's readable.
Hope this helps!

Try to read it with the same version of Word. If you try to open a word document with another problem there could be a problem.
Usually when you open such a document in Word, it prompt you a box where you have to choose the encoding method (UTF8, UTF7, C-MS, etc...)
It might also be a problem of font. Try selecting all your code (CTRL+A) and change it to another font.

It could be the font you used which is not supported by the computer you've just used. If you can open your document on that earlier computer or try opening it other computer.

your file is corrupted. it will have to be deleted and rewritten. don't just clear the text in the file and start typing again. delete the entire file then start again
