I have an anti-static paddle-style hair brush. I have also used Static Guard (the anti-static spray) by spraying my brush, brushing my hair and re-spraying the brush as I brush. It always worked very well.

Try a leave-in conditioner, spray, or gel. If you don't want to use anything un-natural, just use a little water. Did you know?: Blond, straight hair is the most sensitive to static, while brown/red wavy hair is in the middle, and curly black hair isn't very sensitive to static at all!

Try applying a gel product before drying to add some weight and texture to your hair. This is the most effective method for me. A shinespray works well after styling because it also weighs the hair down. My aunt used to spray a tiny bit of the static spray for clothing on her brush and that always worked as well.

well, you probably have gas heating in your house, so besides moving, the best we've seen here is spraying your brush with the static stuff--don't rub a dryer sheet on your hair, it'll make your hair flat and greasy and smell creepy. i usually just have to wear a ponytail for the next few months, yup, blonde straight hair

Carry a dryer sheet with you, and rub it over your hair periodically. This will reduce the static in your hair the same way it reduces static cling in your dryer
