Hit it off huge. Talked all the time, went out all the time, etc. 2 mos. into it, she starts to shy away, but it seemed like we were getting closer. I wouldn't even ask opinions on this, but we are able to talk pretty openly now (dating 6 mos.) and she told me she has always been like this, that she always shies away from the people she really starts to care for. She is a very honest person, so I don't really have any reason to doubt her. She seems torn now and said as much just tonight. We have told each other many times that we love each other. I believe her and know I mean it. So, is she just trying to let me down easy (her heart wants me, her head doesn't or vice versa) or can she really be telling me the truth, that she loves me but doesn't know if I'm what she wants? I am so confused. It's like she loves me so much she wants to end our relationship, or that's what it seems like.

Chill, son. Guys are always in such a hurry. If she can still stand you after 2 months, she cares about you, and her skittishness is just her way of not committing. Step back, lighten up, and just enjoy the time she wants to spend with you. For those other times, find something you like doing and stay busy with that. Don't let her think she's your entire focus, as that could spook her off. Just let her see you're busy with other things (not other girls) when she's not with you and that will let her know you are your own person, which can add to the mystique.

Girls are like butterflies.... if they won't land on you on purpose, it's not worth trying to make them, or trying to 'capture' them. All you can do is make yourself available, and enjoy the scenery.

She may have been hurt before and wants to take it very slow so that she won't get hurt. Maybe she's evaluating the situation and needs a little time to get herself straightened out. Trust me, it happens. It doesn't mean anything bad, yet. It might be time for you to just give her a little space. You can still hang out and see her, but just follow her lead for a while, maybe you can learn some things about her by letting her lead!

Some people pull away because they're afraid of rejection. But this is strange since she does know how you feel....maybe she's getting over somebody? That's kind of what it sounds like to me. Move on.

omg hun girls do this all the time! You need to give her space meaning dont call, let her call you. Be distant and it will make her think! She values her independence so give it to her and find your own! GOOD LUCK
