Apearance denotes care and cleanliness. But, i would also like to be in love with someone who has a mind and can be relied upon.

There are many obstacles in life and we need each other to overcome those obstacles...It is important to be able to trust someone when you are not around.

So, I would say trust is very important.

Each person is different in terms of what the most important thng about falling in love. What attracts a person usually is a connection. Not something everyone notices immediately but you may sense it on a subconscicous level before you realize that you are attracted to this person. It may be something about their personality, the way the make you laugh, the way you feel when your around them. It's hard to describe really because each of us react in our own way. You will know it though when it hits you. It's the most wonderful and incredible feeling in the world.

I'm finally answering my own questions!
I guess I'll grow up and be like most other girls. Get a job, an apartment, a degree, a computer to keep up with my friends, and stay single for a long, long time. The song, "we were not too young at all," evokes many thoughts, and images of the relationships between men and women that is not often seen today. They seem so wholesome and wonderful. But as I am a bit of a cynic to protect myself, I don't plan on anything happening.

I hate people who try to make love sound like some magic spell lovey dovey crap.

But that kind of is the most important thing. It's that unknown x-factor that can't be put into words. Maybe it's a the right mixture of several different things.

I could run down a list of things that I like in girls, but the girl I am in love with has maybe 70-75% of those things, there are other girls that have 95-100% of the things and I like them but they lack that special unspeakable unknowable factor that this one girl has that makes me desire her more than is reasonably possible.

This is not a one word answer. Honesty is #1. And I believe loving someone means there are no hidden agendas or unrealistic expectations. Be yourself, stick to your beliefs and use common sense. Truly loving and being loved is a great gift - it's gold - and rare. Appearance (I assume you mean good looks) is the least of it. Look to the heart (and head).

Well when you are in love with someone the thing that matters the most is how you feel with the person, how well you get along with them, and if your completely yourself, no matter how stupid you may seem to yourself... You bring the best out in them and they bring the best out of you.
