Back in grade school, my mom said the reason why boys teased girls, was because they like them. Well, does this still apply in highschool?? Guys that always tease and joke around with girls..do they like them? What about if they also are always trying to scare you by coming up behind you and grabbing you? Always poking your sides, hugging you, etc? Also, what if they told someone else you were hot? Does that mean anything?
I am 17 years old and a Senior in highschool, has this guy just not matured yet or what??

If a man is making up excuses to touch you, trust me when I say that he's got some sort of feelings for you. This is especially true when it comes to grabbing you from behind. Hugging? Check.
In many cases, guys teasing girls is a way to get some laughter out of the girl and keep her on her toes -- unless he's tossing clearly harsh insults at you (like calling you fat), he's at least somewhat interested.
Guys much older than that one do the same stuff all the time, so don't consider it immaturity -- consider it a sign.
Whether you should go out with him or not, that's your own call. But yes, he's obviously interested in one way or another.

What were "love taps" in grade school are now "cop a feel" attemtps in high school (and it doesn't end here! wait til you grow up and go to a bar or club - it just gets more advanced!). And about teasing - yes and no. Most boys will tease you because they are intimidated by you or girls in general and don't know how else to respond.

It sounds like in your case they do. In my case, I was teased in a mean way, everyone called me a dog and ugly. So in the ninth grade I was forced to date a college freshman. It really sucked.
What really annoyed me is when everyone found out about who I was seeing, they stopped teasing me. Which really proves that ninth grade boys can not make up their minds for themselves who is ugly and who isn't. They are sheep. baaaa

Guys don't change they will still be like for till their outta college.
Some guys mature a little sooner though, but not many.
