you make sure no one can ever find out? if the others involved in the cheat were somehow incapable of speaking? if the cheat happened and now the other is dead? Do you still need to confess?

Yes it's concidered cheating. Whether you cheat with the same sex, a person who is now deceased, or even if you just touched a person in the wrong place. Cheating is cheating and you should always confess. Keeping it in makes it even worst for you and the person you cheated on.
Also, there's no such thing as *What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas*

If you are in a relationship with a person and mess around on them with some one else you cheated . It doesn't matter if the one you are cheating with can't do anything about it. Cheating is cheating and you shouldn't do it.

i think if you want to be honest and tell all to the person you cheated on even if the cheat who help was dead . you will always have it in the back of your mind if you don't tell the truth yeah you can live with it but you know its wrong .......................good luck
