What I'm trying to ask is, are they worse or less worse than murderers? Yes, I know some of the illegal immigrants are murderers. I'm referring to the ones that only come here to work and make money for their family. The ones whose only "crime" that they committed was crossing the border. What do you think?

No, crossing the border unlawfully is not as bad as murder. If you must compare them to criminals, a thief might be more on the same level than a murderer.

No, definitely not. The US does need to create a better immigration policy though or some kind of migrant worker program.

The US really needs to quit spending billions on the war and far away countries and start spending money on the US economy and helping its neighboring countries out. If the US helped Mexico create a thriving economy and helped it solve its poverty problems then we wouldn't have to worry as much about all the illegal immigration into the US.

The solution isn't to deport them. It would cost us much more to deport them that it would to allow them to stay. A better solution is to allow a migrant worker program along with a possible road to citizenship for many so that they can start contributing income tax money.

Beyond that legislation may need to be enacted that states that illegal immigrants cannot rent apartments or purchase housing, so they have to provide proof of citizenship. A person needs a place to stay if they are going to stay anywhere for a long time. Eliminate the place to stay for people that don't cooperate with immigration and migrant worker laws and you eliminate a large portion of the problem.

I basically believe that we need to allow the people to stay that are already here and stop the influx of new illegal immigrants. If you deport the ones that are already here you are asking for a mess of problems including breaking up families where some of the children were born in the US and are legal residents but their parents aren't.

I think that is pushing it to the extreme don't you? Of course they are not equivalent to murderers, but they are committing a crime by "illegally" crossing the border. Drug Dealers are not murderers (always), people who forge checks are not murderers, all these politicians in Chicago that are going to jail for putting their buddies in places of power, etc are not murderers, but yet all these people have committed crimes and are going to do time in jail for doing so. So if the point you are getting at is "why are people so upset or why deport them? it's because they are committing a crime and when you commit a crime, you do the time or punishment.

They are less worse than murderers. We aren't trying to give them the death penalty, we are just trying to kick them out. And many of them commit other crimes after crossing the border.

They are criminals. I harbor no particular grudge against these people and I am sure most of them are hard working and honest otherwise. However, the law is the law and if you violate it you are a criminal. There are degrees of criminal behavior to be sure, but most people are not demanding the death penalty for illegal aliens. So while they are not as bad as murders in a moral sense, they are just as bad as murders in a criminal sense.

No.

Not all of them at least, but I have heard that there are a LOT of criminal illegal aliens in prisons in the US and some of them do get involved in gangs here, who are notorious for murdering each other over their drug turfs.

No, I don't think that you can compare an illegal to a criminal, is just not right, I know that they're breaking the law, I understand that, but is not the same, just my opinion.
