Leave them alone is the most productive answer.

What you're really asking is how do I make someone else believe what I believe . . .and act how I act.

In that question, you're presuming you know more than them . . .

Let it go . . .just live your life .. .

They probably think they are saved because at some point in time someone told they that if they ask God into their hearts as their personal savior and if they admit that they have sinned and are sorry for their sins that they are saved, which technically they are. But they also need to realize that when they asked God into their hearts as their personal savior that they should have their very own pesonal relationship with Him too - which comes from reading the Bible and praying. A good way of explaining this to someone may be to share with them some passages from the Bible illustrating God's love for each of us and his desire to have a personal relationship with us. Another good way may be to acquire a pocket version of "a purpose driven life" and ask this person to please read it. You don't want to be real pushy with the person either or they'll just turn from you as they have already done with the man upstairs.

You should ask a question like "If you went to Heaven and God asked Why should I let you into My Heaven, what would you say?" Then, based on their answer, you can share with them what the Bible says about how to be saved. For example, if they say, "Because I'm a good person," you can tell them that the Bible says, "For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

I think the best thing is to educate them with your knowledge of the Bible. It's important that you know some scripture so that you can give them something to think about. A Pastor once said that you can't go to a battle with a butter knife, you need to take a strong steel sword.
God Bless.

In order to be saved do you absolutely have to read the bible and pray? I realize that it definitely helps your relationship with God but it is not a necessity to be saved.

People need redemption and a relationship with a Higher Power, not the religious police. The Christian equivalent of the Gestapo is not my idea of spirituality. Now if you voluntarily subject yourself to religious law, then you must accept the outcome, short of say, being stoned to death for adultery.

Point out in the Bible where Jesus says the only way to heaven is through Him and explain that you have to have Christ in your heart to know Jesus. Scripture will explain it all. Email me, maybe I can point out some scripture to you that might help you out or you can go to bible.com and type in words that you are looking for and run a search for scripture. Hope this helps

Why do they think they are saved? Why do you think they are not?
Have they accepted Christ as the Bible shows? This is what matters, not your opinion of them.

1. Everybody sins and makes mistakes, you, me, the pope, and every priest and pastor on earth
(Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God,)

2. The penalty for this sin is Death, but thankfully, God sent His only Son to pay this penalty for us
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

3. You don’t even need to eliminate your sin and mess from your life before you come to Him. Just come as you are, with all your mess, sins and mistakes.
Romans 5:8 But God commends His love toward us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.

4. All you have to do is confess with your mouth and truly believe that Christ died for you, your sins, and your salvation, and God raised him again, and you can be assured of your eternal salvation.
Romans 10:9 Because if you confess the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved.

5. There is no other way into heaven; not by good works, not by going to church every Sunday, not by following every letter of the law. The only way is through acceptance in/of Jesus Christ
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me.

Matt 10:32,33
32 Then everyone who shall confess Me before men, I will confess him before My Father who is in Heaven.
33 But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in Heaven.
