My aunt was found dead at 53 on 10-11-06 @ 6:30 am by her husband. It was ruled she had a heart attack. But received a bill of good health the morn she died. 5 days b4 she died her daughter said her step-dad beat her so bad she could not get out of bed 4 the 5 days. the morn she was found my uncle said he woke up and went 2 do his normal routine. He then gave my cousin the keys 2 her moms jeep & told her 2 take it 2 work & lock keys in the jeep. He walked her outside, 2 make sure she got in and left. My aunt always took her 2 work so why was this day dif. My mom went over & found my aunt laying in the fetal possition & her body was now a blk color. My mom noticed the pillow on the bed had some black stuff on it. Through out this all there has been several stories told by my uncle about how he found her. We think he smoothered her 2 death. Why did her body turn blk? What can we do? Please give me some good advise. Its killing the family.

A full autopsy was not done on her because they felt it was a heart attack. We have gone to the police in her town but they just tell us that they have to go by what the doctor and the coroner said. we just don't think it. My uncle also said when he woke up in the morning her arm was on his and he moved it. Well if she already had rigamortis (spellcheck) then how could he move her arm. he said she died sitting up reading a book. stories just don't match.

My family has gone to a lawyer but it will cost so much to exhume the body. We don't have it. What can we do to get help? Who can we contact.

Since the Coroner ruled it a heart attack. I doubt very much that there is any thing you can do, especially if you can not afford to exhume the body. Or get an attorney. You could try going to a detective in the Homicide department. And talk with him/her. And see what if any thing they can recommend. You might find a sympathetic detective who will look into it. But you should probably go in with 1 or 2 other relatives who also feel there may have been foul play.
I am very sorry to hear about your Aunt's death you have my sympathy. But there really is not a lot you can do. However if an autopsy was not done. And you have any kind of proof that there was abuse etc.. Then the state or county may pick up the tab for exhuming the body and doing an autopsy.
God Bless

When it comes to something like this and your family really has doubts on how your aunt died and your not financially able to pay to get all the appropriate things done to look into this. Use the media, the media always gets the story told and if you live in a small town, go to the next biggest city and ask for help through the media. I think this man needs to be brought to justice because if you just let this go, you and your family will never rest peacefully again. I wish you the best of luck on this and my condolences goes out to your family in this time need.

I would definitely tell an authority figure, you should ask your mother why an autopsy was not done. If abuse was an issue, she could have died due to blunt force to the head, or some other physical abuse. An autopsy will tell exactly how she died, and how long it took. It will give the details needed to complete the puzzle. If this goes undone, he may do this again, and your family will never have justice. Good luck.

First you need to pray about the situation. Go to the police/attorney and get a professional consultation. If you and your family are suspicious don't stop until you get the truth but make sure you do it the right way.

Hire a private investigator to see if he/she can find something new to bring to the police to help the case. Good luck!

sounds like you live in a one horse town like me....lots of cover ups and not much justice. the only way to get the attention and help you need is to go to the media...preferably in the next largest town...good luck!

Did they do an autopsy on her? I'd definatly bring this up to someone, especially to any investigators involved. If none are, I'd get one involved.
