On the contrary; the world wide web - especially compared to what people in the media have to abide by - is an actually the closest thing people have when it comes to having real free speech. And from what I understand and have seen myself, the moderators on YahooAnswers do not seem to be as zealous as the ones at other sites.

What I have come to realize is I may not *like everything I read here - hell I will admit plenty of the racist sh*t here is frightening - but I *love the fact that I can pretty much say whatever I want as much as everyone else can.

Adios.

According to Bush and his un-patriot act, anyone speaking against the president and his policies can be determined to be an ememy combatant, locked up without habeus corpus, and sent to an unknown place to rot without a lawyer.I'd say that is not free speech, and this president and his daministration has led us into fascism, where he is the dictator.

That is not liberty nor freedom opf speech.

Ben Franklin said something like he'd defend to the death the right of anyone to speak out against him.

Bush has zero connections with the founding fathers nor the constitution. In fact, some refer tpo Bush and Chaney as floundering fodders.

If this were the only place were there was no free speech, the world would be a great place.

No. Free speech doesnt really exist here. Many people here qualify as dictators. I mean, seriously, i go in the wrestling section and everyone is going crazy! Giving other users death threats and reporting people because they say i dont like this or that. This is so ridiculous.

I guess you had a few questions or answers reported. Yahoo is not required to allow you to post whatever nonsense you feel like posting. The are a private agency and you can only post what fits within their guidelines. If you don't like it, don't use the service.

On this place you get freedom of opinion. Freedom of speech does have limits. I mean go up to a cop and tic him off using 'freedom of speech" see were it gets you.

Quite the opposite actually. Anybody here can say anything they want. But, you'll most likely be reported (which is pointless and does nothing) or you'll be insulted. Yahoo Answers sucks, but it's a good time killer, or quick way to get pissed off.

I think you are talking about one of the Southern states, if not all of them. Didn't the Dixie Chic statement make those people act stupid and show how bright they are by burning and destroying Dixie Chics records. How dumb can that be? How can that set people off, but all the killing of our young soldiers in Iraq, is okay? Are all southern people that ignorant?
