I recently bred my English Bull Terrier and we are keeping two of the pups they are eight weeks today, they have flat faces to a certain extent but have a little bit of a snout, I thought this would dissapear as they got older but I met a guy in the vet who breeds English Bulls and he said they look like staffy crosses, problem is I have a male staffy and Im starting to wonder if he caught her rather than the stud dog. I personally don't think they look like staffys, should there faces be flat already? Or will they get flat as they get older?

Don't listen to every body that claims to be an expert..I have run into so many people over the years that have tried to tell me that my pups weren't purebreds! people at vets offices just like to shoot off their mouths..I actually had a guy get angry when I argued with him that mine were purebreds!!
My poor cousin finally gave her 10 pups away, because 'experts' kept telling her they were mixed (they weren't!)

sounds like your staffy caught them in which case you cannot register them or sell them as pure bull terriers. Why not get the staff castrated then you will be sure next time. Someone I know breeds bull terriers and they definately don't have flat faces.

i'm afraid the others are right. bull terrier pups are born with egg heads, it's the way their skulls are built. sounds like you staffy had his wicked way with her. you can however have a split mating where half or some of the eggs are fertilised by one dog and the others by a different dog (strange but true) so you may have pure bullies and some half and halfs!

The pups' faces should be flat. They will elongate more as the pup matures. If your pups don't have flat faces now the faces are not going to flatten as they get older... Sounds like you go a mix in there...

Bull Terriers should***NOT*** have "flat-faces" at ANY age!!!
DUH???

They MUST have "egg-shaped" heads!! Even as pups!!!

Piss-poor/irresponsible management on your part?? You got MUTTS/MONGRELS???
