Pumpkin Pie Spice
"This will make enough for one recipe of pumpkin pie. But you could increase amounts to keep a mix on hand. These spices added to a pumpkin pie make the dish as far as I am concerned."

INGREDIENTS
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
DIRECTIONS
In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. Store in an airtight container.

Go to your grocer's spice section and look for the spice that says "pumpkin pie spice". You will find it labeled as such.
I believe it is a preblended mix of cinnamon,nutmeg etc...
Use this it is much faster in baking.
Keep in mind to that there is a difference in Pumpkin pie filling in the can and pumpkin in the can. Read the labels.

Well, you can actually buy "pumpkin pie spice" but if you don't want to do that, it's a mix of cinnamon,ginger,cloves, and nutmeg. For one pumpkin pie, use 1 tsp cinnamon and 1/4 tsp of each of the others.

it is called "pumpkin pie Spice." and you should be able to get it at any grocery store. if you can't find it there are other ingredients you can mix to make a substitute. check out betterhomesandgardens.com

PUMPKIN PIE SPICE
4 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. ground ginger

1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg
Combine and store in a bottle. Use 4 teaspoons of blend to one large can pumpkin (2 pies). Use in Autumn Spiced Nuts recipe, also.

You can buy pumpkin pie spice. I believe it is a combo of cinnamon, clove, mace and nutmeg.

It is an actual spice, but if the budget disapproves, use the old standby---cinnamon. (Cinnamon will strengthen your immune system, anyway.) Enjoy your pie!
