I recommend that you forgo the tattoo. You're probably going to break up anyway. Don't get something you will regret later.

i agree with ishootpix. it sounds to me like you're doing this for the wrong reasons. anytime you get a tattoo it should be for you and you alone.
i like tattoos on women on the lower back---i didn't know they were already being called 'tramp stamps' as one poster answered.
it doesn't sound like you've put a lot of thought into this. here's what i would suggest---do as you will:
1. Scout around for a 'good' tattoo artist! talk to people about their tatts. Most people are extremely proud of their tatts and will be more than willing to talk about their tatt, what it means to them and they will either be able to recommend their artist or steer you clear of him or her. All tattoo artist's are not the same! Some guys look like they just drug themselves out of the gutter--and they draw like they're still in the gutter. Go for someone who is clean, personable and is highly recommended.
2. Think about what you want. Tattoos are permanent for the most part. They 'can' be removed with lasers---but it costs a fortune and sometimes can't remove the whole thing. I'm wondering about your current 'man'. Will you still be with him in 5 years? 10? 15? You get the picture. Even if your current 'man' isn't in the picture 10 years from now--your tatt will be. I'd steer clear of any names, initials, etc.
3. You mention Chinese letters. I'd steer clear of them. I read a story once about a young guy who got chinese symbols tattooed on his arm. They were supposed to mean, "Strength, power, honor"---you get the idea. He noticed that the older Chinese would always chuckle when they saw his tatts. He asked one old man once what was so funny about "Strength, power, honor" and the old man told him that's not what his tatts said. Rather, they said "At the end of the day, this will still be an ugly boy".
4. Do you draw? If so, give some thought to drawing your own design. That will make it more personal to you. My daughters both draw extremely well and have drawn images that they later had tattooed.
5. I've got 3 tatts. All are hidden by my shirt. Give thought to where you want it. The kind of work I do is not accepting of tatts or people that have tatts. That's why mine are all hidden when I wear a shirt. You could go for one on the breast---but you'd have to watch plunging necklines. Like I said earlier, I like tatts on the small of a woman's back---I didn't know these were being called 'tramp stamps'.
There you go---there's my sermon. Give a lot of thought to what you want because you will have it for the rest of your life.
Best of luck to you!!!!

Legitimate tattoo parlors in the US will not tattoo anyone under 18 without a parent being present and proof of age & relationship (birth certificate). Many won't tattoo underage patrons at all. If that's not an obstacle, most ink parlors have literally hundreds of samples on display. You can chose a single design or a combination. Or, if you have something special in mind, a skilled tattoo artist can create a custom tat for you.

As many others already answered, DO NOT GET NAMES on you! Very bad luck, heard somewhere 87% guarantee failed relationship. Want to be original? Get something in ancient Egypt hieroglyphics or Celtic or some other culture. Don't get one on your breast, one I heard it really hurts, and two what happens when your old and it's hanging by you knees. Think about what you wear most often for clothes for all 4 seasons including your bikini. Besides if you get Chinese, people who can read Chinese will know what it means so it wouldn't really be anything that just the two of you knew. Test areas for possibility of tattoo by pinching it, trust me. If it hurts don't do it, that's why you see big tough guys with arm bands that don't go all the way around the arm cus it really hurts.

a stable place to have one hidden is on your bikini line, close to a hip. no remember if that's on your tan lines, greater desirable than probably the only time all and sundry would see that's in case you have been nude. underclothes and bathing suits will continually conceal those aspects. many times attempt to be a minimum of 18 to get a tattoo, till you have parental consent (i.e. they take you to get it carried out). On a greater very own notice with reference to what you have become, confirm that's something which you rather desire, with the aid of fact it is going to likely be there continually, i understand that relationships are significant, yet make absolute to fastidiously think of by using your decision. to no longer sound pessimistic, yet whilst for some reason issues do no longer paintings out down the line, will you be satisfied with the aid of fact tattoo there continually? I many times advise that folk get something it is critical to them, as somebody no longer in basic terms as a pair. That way it rather represents you.

I think you are getting the tattoo for the wrong reasons. I know numerous people who got tattoos during relationships which later failed. They are left with a reminder of this failed relationship for the rest of their lives.
If you get ink, you should get it for reasons that don't include anyone else in the equation. Do it for your self.
The best hidden tattoo is on the breast or on the bikini line.

You have to be 18 to get a tat. A secret place would be your back or on your upper thigh. Just remember that it's permanent so make sure its something you can live with for the rest of your life.

18 in every state in the US except Alabama which is 19 unless married. I recommend the top of the foot or on the underside of a wrist. A lot of girls are getting them on there lower backs but thats already being called a tramp stamp so I dont recommend it.

you have to be 18 unless you have parental consent. Unless you know someone who does tats and than they'll do it for you whatever age you are. If you live in PA i can help, if not just look around.............(talk to your older firends)
you could get it on the back of your neck if you want to hide it (your hair will cover it) or your lower back or pelvic area.
i think if you both get the same Chinese symbol that would be cute (get the one for love or something)

Well in Maine I know you have to be 18 without parental consent. A secret place...ummm...you back? Either lower or upper. Shoulders? Hip...or around your pelvic area.
I have a butterfly just above my hip bone. I've had it for about 3 years and my mom just found out about it this summer...LOL
