He lies because he did something he knows you would not approve of. He probably does it because he wants to tell you what you want to hear, too. I think you should leave him! because it is obvious that he lies quite often, so there is no telling what he would lie about! Don't allow him to play on your intelligence like you were born yesterday! Remember relationships are based on trust so if he's always lying the relationship is going to be disasterous!

Lots of males learn to do this and some females, it is aggravating because I believe in honesty.
