Apparently that state does not have a death penalty in force. They give those insane prison sentences so that it is a guarantee that they wont get out any time soon. Most long sentences have just as insane "possibility for parole" standards as well. Basically it is to ensure everyone that he does get a death penalty even though that state can not use lethal injection or an electric chair. It is suppose to be a human death sentence, by having them die in a 5' x 7' cell.

Ludicrious and a waste of taxpayers money!!! Who do you know that lived to the age of 508 years old? Maybe in biblical times but no one I know in this millenium!

Well, he will only have 102 years to go before he is up for parole!

And it costs way more to execute someone than it does to incarcerate them for life. The condemned person has all these automatic and expensive appeals to exhaust at taxpayer expense, plus the special care and control required for those on death row.

contrary to popular belief "tax dollars" only go to build, staff, and keep up prisons. I know someone who was in state jail and then transferred to federal prison and her family had to send her money and things otherwise she would've had nothing. The institutions only provides the minimum necessities.
