I have a very easy recipe for baked beans and they are so good!!
You just need a can of pork'n beans (whatever size works for the amount you need to make)
Brown sugar
diced onion
ketchup
Salt and pepper
and bacon bits (either crumbled bacon you fried at home or Bacos will do)
No exact measurments here because you should make them to suit your own taste. I like mine sweet. All ingredients will be added to taste and according to the amount of beans you are making.
Heat the oven to about 350 degrees
pour beans into appropriate size baking dish for amount of beans you are using
.
Add brown sugar and ketchup ...just add some of each and then taste, add more sugar if not sweet enough, add more ketchup if too sweet. Just keep tasting and adding until you like the taste.
Stir in diced onion and bacon bits
season with salt and pepper
I usually lay a few strips of bacon on the top as garnish.
Bake for about 45 minute
That's it.....delicious

Baked beans
2# Navy beans, soaked overnight (or you can cheat and get two jars of the already cooked ones)
one quarter cup light molasses
1 cup brown sugar
one-half tsp.dry mustard
1 medium onion, chopped
one-half # bacon, cut in 1 inch pieces
one third stick butter
Mix all ingredients together in large pot or crock pot
Cover with water and you will want to maintain the liquid level until the last 30 minutes
Cover
Bake for 2 hours at 350
Turn heat down to 200 and cook 2 more hours
Add salt to your taste prior to serving
If using crockpot cook on low for 24 hours, again maintaining liquid until the last 2 hours

Homemade Baked Beans
1 pound bacon, diced
2 cups diced onions
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 pound dried navy white beans, soaked overnight and drained
1/2 cup Steen's 100 percent Pure Cane Syrup
1/2 cup light brown sugar
2 1/2 cups ketchup
1/4 cup yellow mustard
Salt and black pepper
1 gallon chicken stock
2 bay leaves
In a large pot, over medium heat, add the bacon and render until crispy, about 4 to 6 minutes. Add the onions and continue to saute for 3 to 4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the garlic and beans and cook for 1 minute. Stir in the cane syrup, brown sugar, ketchup and mustard. Season with salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Stir in the chicken stock. Bring the liquid to a boil and reduce to a simmer. Cook the beans for about 4 hours, or until tender, stirring occasionally. From time to time, one might need to add a little water at a time if the beans need some to prevent burning.
