Well, some people don't think you should feed your dog people food, but I think as long as it's not a lot, and not all of the time, then there's no problem.
I feed my dogs (St. Bernard, Lab, & Blue Healer Mix) small amounts of hamburgers, hot dogs cut up, & any other meats like that. You can feed them the bones of like pork chops, and T bone stakes and as long as the bones do not have sharp edges. Absolutely NO chicken or turkey bones.
Another thing I give my dogs sometimes is yogurt. It is really good for their digestive track. If they have a tummy ach I give them 1/2 cup of rice.
Raw veggies are exellent for dogs like carrots, broccoli, things like that. :o)

Keep your dog on a good dog food. IAMS or Eukanuba or Science Diet is good. It is actually good for your dog to have a little veggies and meat. But dont go overboard and dont let your dog pig out.
The easiest answer to this is what your dog can not eat. Dont give your dog bones of any kind. Rawhide ( it can not be digested ) , chocolate . And i keep hearing onions and grapes but have had dogs eat those with no trouble. Dont give your dog anything sweet or anything sharp like corn chips. I have heard about Greenies getting lodged in a dog's intestines.
Good things for them are things like cooked meat , and cooked veggies such as broccoli or green beans or mashed potatoes and the like. A little yogurt is good for them too as are cooked eggs.
Just dont let your dog get fat.
IF YOUR DOG EATS CHOCOLATE...give it a pink benadryl ( blue will do NOTHING ) . Small dogs up to 25 pounds can take one capsule. As a general rule the dosage is one milligram per pound of body weight. If you give them a little more it is ok. Dog metabolize it differently than humans. And then head to the vet.

My grandma believed that in table scraps. I used to give my dog(s) my leftover veggies because I hate veggies. I recommend taking a look at the ingredients on the side of the dog food that you have been giving your dog or other brands. I think that dogs should be able to handle the real foods that they make them with. If you want to give your dog a bone make sure that it is a large bone that won't snap. I was always told not to use chicken bones because they could get hung up in a dog's throat. I don't know if the same is true for mini/small dogs.

These human foods are poisonous, onions, chocolate/cocoa, grapes, raisins are the main ones. look online for more but pretty much anything else is ok.
ADVICE: Give your dog a holistic dog food like Eagle Pack or Nutro. They contain REAL meat unlike common foods like Pedigree and that stuff. Normal dogs foods contain by-products like chicken beaks, toenails, feathers, eyes, intestines and that sort of stuff. If they do have meat it would be grade 4D: decaying, diseased, and I forget. THey also may contain peanut hulls, sawdust, newspaper. They use dogfood to get rid of waste we dont want. Conventional dog foods are also so heavily preserved with BHT, BHA, and TBHQ. These are cancer causing preservatives, and is LEGAL FOR USE IN HUMAN FOOD. The US is the only country that still allows it to be used. Since it has REAL MEAT, vegetables, fruits, and no byproduct the dog dosent eat as much simply because it has food value. You will also have lower vet bills since your dog will be healthier. Hope this helps:)

Some dogs are okay with eating SOME human foods, like my dog for example. Other dogs throw up human food. If your dog does not throw it up, it is fine to feed her some human food just dont give her too much because eventually she will get sick. Table scrapes once in awhile are okay, but not all the time.

Nothing that has been spiced. Not even salt or pepper. No tomatoes, grapes, or chocolate. If you're going to feed them people food, boiled white rice, and boiled ground beef. Boiled chicken ( or raw) Green beans and other vegetables are ok, but stay away from corn, it has no nutritional value.
The problem with feeding dogs people food, is that you never know which one is going to irritate their digestive system. Once that happens, you better have a carpet cleaner in the closet, because they will lose control of their bowel movements.
Your best bet is to find a quality dry dog food, and feed that without any people food additives unless listed above, and then only small "teaser" amounts.

Hi Mawee
Exactly human food is made for human and not for dogs. So as they are usually good for
humans but many times bad for dogs.
As Dog are the best animal wich we can keep at home, from years the digestion system of dogs have been changing and if you want to feed your dog with home food then the best food for dog is milk, bread and meat. Milk is enriched wit most of protiens and carbohydrates. U can also try meat soup and wit bread. And last thing never force your pet to eat spicy foods and vegetables plz. hope this will answer you.
take care

It depends on your dog, it's age, health and breed... but here are some general things.
Carrots and Apples make great dog treats.
Cooked lean meat, like chicken breast, no skin.
Vegetables prepared without salt, fat or heavy seasoning.
Whole grain bread.
Rice.
Scrambled egg (in moderation)
This is not a substitute for a good dog food diet, these are meant to ad to or be used for treats. There are 'home cooked' dogs foods out there, but hey are too many to name and review for you without more details about your dog.
What's more important is what NOT to feed your dog.
Spoiled food of any kind.
Onions.
Fatty food. Butter, lard, grease, fried foods.
Chocolate.
Candy or sugary treats.
Careful with the grapes, the jury is not in on that one.
Feed with caution.
Cheese.
Milk products.
Any new food your dog isn't used to. May cause upset.
Some dogs are allergic to some foods, so be aware.
Call your vet, ask.... they ususaly know more about your dogs medical needs and can make reccomendations.

Vets will yell you that dogs should only eat dog food, and to avoid berries and other foods. However, in moderation human food is okay my pug gets 3 tablespoons of scraps a day the rest is Dog food. Chicken, beef, eggs, carrots, and peas. Sometimes she gets Taco Bell but only a few chunks of chicken from the chicken soft taco, not the whole taco.
