It looks very much like in the picture, only that my hair is a bit curlier. Do I do it on wet or dry hair?

Hi Hollow remember it takes ages to grow out a fringe before you start any snipping.

However if I can't persuade you not to chop then it is best done wet and a few tips to help if you are not a budding hairdresser and haven't access to one just now.

Carefully that you take lesser amounts and length off at first just in case you make a blunder which if too short you cant undo once cut back hard - so easy does it girl.

Don't be siccors happy!!

It is also easy to leave blond hair hagged looking when it is later dryed unless you are very careful.

Comb down and divide your fringe in the centre clip they rest back out of you way with hair clips.

Trim off the length but leave at least enough to below your eye level and move across to the other side. Clip back again and use the tail of your comb to lift sections of about 1" in your comb at a sideways and trim parell with about 1/8" off each section. Work down about 3 sections from the crown to the forehead repeat on the other side until finished. Your fringe will be soft and feathered in appearance not heavy like you just set a bowl on your head.

If you still think it is too heavy or long repeat the exercise remember that it will jump up when dry good luck.

I have hair a bit like yours and i trim my fringe at home a lot and so does my mother. I do it on either wet or dry hair but i prefer dry. Just sweep it out infront of your face , and look at it with your eyes or in the mirror. Cut it by pointing scissors upwards towards your hair, not along the edge. Simply chop little bits into the hair, then move along a section. Always include a tiny piece of hair from your last section, to use a guideline.
It may not look like its getting shorter when you're cutting, but when you put it back, you will see the difference.

Wet hair definately, but if you are a regular at a salon they will probably do it for you free of charge, I have a re-style about 3 times a year but pop in for a free fringe cut every 2 months!

I always wet my fringe before cutting it. The hair moves less. Just remember it will dry shorter than it looks when flattened and wet.

Wet hair is easier to cut, but remember that when it dries it will "spring" back up a little so don't cut too much.

attempt to locate a image of what you're attempting to realize; take it to a BARBER keep and ask them what they might do. If all else fails tell them to take an inch off throughout do no longer enable them to apply the thinning shears, it motives little short fly away hairs in approximately 3 days. Barbers are greater ideal, and lady barbers are the ideal.

some say wet is easier if your doing it your self but I always cut dry with a razor cutter instead of sissors.

Always cut it wet.As your hair is curly, cut it roughly between the bridge of your nose, coz as your hair dries,it will become shorter, and hopefully roughly where you want it.
