"ARRACK". I think it's made from coconuts, and mainly from Sri Lanka or India.
I've also seen "ARAK", which is a different spirit from countries in the Middle East. Smells like anise. Tastes like gasoline.

It may be Arrack. You can get it in Bali et al. Not sure of the spelling, sorry.

arrack,it is diluted spirit with water with variuos flavours and aromas,it brewed very indigenously,and still availabel in india .

I think its ARAACK its a cosetrated form of substance.
