Okay - simple simple simple
Turkey seasoned with salt,pepper, garlic
Stove Top Stuffing - add a little Jimmy Dean's Hot Sausage and Ocean Spray Craisins for a nice zest!
Ocean Spray Cranberry Sauce (jellied cranberries)
Sweet Potatoes: sliced thin, cook with heavy cream, butter, brown sugar and top with pecans
Pumpkin Pie (use Libby's mix and directions)
Ambrosius Salad: canned mixed fruits, mandarin oranges, coconut, sour cream, whipped cream, topped with crushed walnuts
Fresh dinner rolls - crescents are the best (Pillsbury)
Gravy - use McCormick Turkey Gravy and season it up yourself - easier than making homemade!
Green Bean Casserole: Green beans with mushroom soup topped off with French's fried onions (follow the recipe on the French's fried onion container). Yum!
Red and White Wine and a Champagne toast to good friends and you'll be set!
If you need any recipes or help with the "how to" of cooking, let me know!

For a lot of people, the favorite Thanksgiving foods are stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie. So don't knock yourself out being traditional-- just make sure to have one or two of these! And there's nothing wrong with canned cranberry sauce or Stove-Top Stuffing mix.
One thing I usually don't like about Thanksgiving dinner: too many heavy, starchy foods. Consider having a salad or a green vegetable, maybe even something cold like a green-bean salad. Keep your hors d'oeuvres light, not too filling. Cheese and crackers will fill everybody up and then your dinner won't be appreciated.
Just think of it as a nice dinner with a couple of Thanksgiving favorites thrown in.

From Emeril to Martha, the Barefoot Contessa and Paula Deen they are all wonderful and have some of the best ideas and takes on foods. Don't forget the wine it's often overlooked, buy a red, white and then some sparkling wine.

the sell thanksgiving kits it comes with the turkey and the trimming all ready made so all you have to do is heat and serve. or call your local grocery store sometime during the holidays the will cook it all for you and all you do is pick it up take it home and serve it that's what my mother-in-law is doing this year.
but if you want to do it by yourself then what i make is

gravy
cranberry sauce
and pumpkin pie for dessert (with wip cream)

Buy the smallest turkey you can find, OR use turkey parts OR a turkey breast.
Yams (in a can- add cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and brown sugar to them to make them taste more homemade)
Dinner rolls (packaged)
Pumpkin pie OR Apple pie (store bought)
Stove top stuffing (boxed) or Mashed potatoes
Green bean casserole
Gravy
Cranberry sauce (canned)
Better yet, Boston Market does a Thanksgiving meal or Honey Baked Ham package and It's DELICIOUS! OR you can try your local grocry store, all of them do it too. All you do is heat and serve it.Simple, no-fuss, easy, and convenient.

Ask your friends what their favorites are for Thanksgiving. Everyone has at least one special thing they love to have for Thanksgiving dinner. Start with those. If there is a person who might not care too much for turkey, you could do cornish game hens, or a duck.
You want an appetizer plate, a salad or two, a vegetable or two, (if none of your friends-or you don't like yams, don't make them). You want potatoes and gravy, and maybe stuffing- unless you have duck. A box of stovetop stuffing goes good with anything!
Decide your meat, and then your desserts. I usually ask my guests what kind of pie they like, and I go from there.
You can even delegate different parts of the meal to each of the guests so you don't have to do it all by yourself.
Oh yeah, don't forget the rolls.

in case you all make your thanksgiving meal at the same time, it really is going to be a lot interesting and also you all will savor doing for your self. it really is vitally a astounding feeling once you pull it off the first time. beautify the table and use your suitable china and gown for dinner. even as the eating area is over freshen up at the same time and sit down round patting your tummies and communicate about what you're grateful for! Then deliver out the checkers or dominoes or board video games .

Some grocery stores sell the complete turkey dinner already cooked. We tried one a year family was sick and it wasn't bad at all.
You could do ham instead, yams, scalloped potatoes. Try a pumpkin cheesecake instead of pie! You'll do fine with whatever you serve. Sorry you don't get to go with your family! Have a great time with your friends!

Why not a potluck where everyone brings their favorites. You coudl maek the turkey (not that hard) and everyone else can bring the corn, stuffing, green bean casserole or any other must haves!
