We're with Pets Best and have loved them so far. Good luck! The most important thing to remember, from what I've read, is that pet insurance, as with all insurances, in order to be truly effective and give you the most return needs to be purchased *before* something goes wrong (and usually even before the signs of it are there). Just as you wouldn't insure a house that's already on fire, companies can't insure a condition or problem that already exists. Get the insurance when they're young and save yourself the grief of, "I wish I had done this sooner!" When you get to that point, it's too late.

I have pet insurance through Pet Care ( I chose the Quickcare Gold / MasterCare ).

Pet Care insurance is a very good thing to have. You never know when your animal will be caught with an illness, or accidentally injested item, etc.

We used our insurance when we had a grooming mishap and our Cocker required surgery (emergency) to stitch up a five inch wound (which would have cost us $600 - we paid $50).

Go to your local Pets Smart store they have insurance as low as 10 bucks a month.
