No. Religion is MAN telling you what to do.

Are you a believer now? The answer is religious if you are religious. It won't hurt your body. If you believe in God then masterbation is a sin. The guilt you would be feeling is that of the Holy Spirit telling you it is wrong. There are no other side effects than that. Have a lovely day.

Yes, according to medical studies the side effects of masturbation are stress relieve, being in a better mood, and peace of mind. When I'm not in a relationship I do take care of myself. It's better than going out and catching a STD, hooking up with a psycho or living life so sexually frustrated that you can't function. As for religion I have searched the Bible and I can't find anything against masturbation. The Bible seems to cover every other aspect of sexuality so I assume that God isn't against it. He is the one who created us with the drive.

Note: This is for others who read this and disagree with me. If you know of any verses in the Bible that explicitly denounce masturbation please send them to me. I have been searching for 2 years. Not verses on fornication or adultery, because they are a different from masturbation.

You are having an affair with someone you love (yourself) and it is the safest sex around.
If it is causing you problems (and you willingness to ask this questions says it might be) then you should tone it down a bit. If it is a controlling habit - it's a problem.
If it's a hobby - take it or leave it - do it or don't - no problem.

There is nothing wrong with it unless you think there is. If you feel bad afterwards or ashamed about it then you shouldn't do it. It is suppose to a healthy enjoyable thing used to pleasure yourself and help guide others as to what pleases you.

It is the lust that is wrong. Side effects to lust include separation from God and tendency to produce sexual behavior that can get in the way of healthy relationships and hurt those who love you such as your spouse, your girl/boy friend, your children, your parents, etc.

It's completely normal to masturbate. If you keep reading and listening to others that tell you that its bad and your going to hell...they are obscure. Listen... It's your body and we have these sensations that we can make by using enhancements to feel good, so....by all means if it pleases you then enjoy it. It's better masturbating then actually have sex with everyone. You don't have to worry about getting anyone pregnant, std's, or your feelings hurt.

NO. It is perfectly natural and normal. Actually being sexually frustrated and the side effects from that are much more damaging then masturbation.

Practice safe sex! Masturbate.

Nothing wrong with it as long as you do it in private. Everyone does it because a partner isn't always available when needed.
