I have an under active thyroid and I don't. I've never heard of that as a symptom. Go to www.thyroid-info.com though and look it up. Mary Shomon is the person to read up on thyroid info. She's an amazing author and has written books and done tons of research on it.

Yes you can, eye problems are something to look out for in both under and over active thyroids, the stinging sounds right but I'm not sure about the yellowish colour. You should make an appointment with your doctor anyway, if you are developing eye signs it means your treatment isn't effective enough.

Some thyroid disorders can be cured, but many require lifetime treatment. Learn here https://tr.im/RIr7O
For example, sometimes early stage thyroid cancer can be cured by surgery to remove the thyroid gland, but you will need to take thyroid hormone medication afterwards for the rest of your life. Goiters can also be surgically removed and do not always recur after surgery. In most cases, thyroid disorders need treatment over a lifetime. However, with treatment most people with thyroid disorders can live normal, healthy lives.

I have an underactive thyroid, and yes, you can have some vision issues, I would check with a doctor, perhaps an endocrinologist. Sometimes my vision gets blurry, but the yellowish color I've never experienced.

People with thyroid problems can have trouble with their eyes, A common problem is dry and gritty feeling eyes. A less common problem is slightly a bulgy/staring look to the eyes. Sometimes double vision can develop.
I work in the eye department at my local hospital. If you are worried about your eyes, ask your GP to refer you to the ophthalmologist at your local hospital - there will often be an eye doctor who specialises in thyroid eye problems.

bulging eyes are common with thyrotoxicosis (over active thyroid) but not heard of sore eyes with myxoedema (underactive thyroid) - have u consulted ur doctor as u could be developing conjunctivitis - an eye infection - he /she will be able to prescribe an ointment or antibiotic drops

Yes I think so, every time I go to see another GP at my practise, they take a look at me and announce they are going to take a liver blood test - always ok, so must be the hypothyroidism being a pain as per..
