There are a lot of things that can cause night sweats. Probably the most common of which is stress and anxiety. Some of the less common reasons can be quite serious. I would recommend that this person see a doctor to get a better idea of what's really going on.

Menopause, in a word. Another thing that can result in night sweats is tuberculosis. Don't know if you are a candidate for either of those two, but those come to mind.

I sweat like that sometimes and was told to get my blood sugar checked....it might be a sign of diabetes, but luckily i don't have it, and i hope you don't either.

Actually there are some diseases that have it as a symptom.Some are not serious,others are very serious.Just keep your eyes open if other symptoms show up and maybe visit your doctor
