Buying a gift for someone that they will continue having to pay for is consider bad taste (sorry!) you don't want her to feel obligated to make monthly payments if she wasn't planning on getting a cell phone herself. a good alternative is a pay-as-you go phone, as she will not have bills, but can just buy a time card wenever she feels like it. and, as there is no plan, you need not be 18 to purchase it for her. hope this helps!!

Don't make the same mistake I did. if you decide to get a cell phone, get her one with a pre-paid card, or give her couple of prepaid cards. DO NOT get a plan, and yes u woun't be able to do it because u need 2 be at least 18.
Good luck man.

You can get a prepaid phone and anyone can buy one. All she will have to do is buy the phone cards for it. It works out to be cheaper too, when you have it on a bill they get really expensive.

Go out and get her the pre-paid phone. It will keep the bills down and easier for you both.
