Neither.
Use your shirt or back of your trouser.
Even better walk around with your hands up in the air until they are dry.

Ahem...er...pretty harder than SAT though! Paper towells and elec dryers are both environmen friendly but lets see what the most is. Paper towells are made out of hay or any other cheep material like by recycling them. But think about elec-dryers...they're costy, made outta plastic and needs electricity to activate. So electricity is generated with fuel taken from the earth or either with nuclear power. Nuclear power as well as burning fuel is both harmful to the environment. You may doubt that electricity is also made by turbines. But the turbines are also made of some kinda a metal. SO u get that metals are not just things that appear before us! So considering all that, paper towells are more environmentally friendly than a hand dryer. Plus hand dryers (plastic) takes decades to decay. So I can say paper towells are the most best suitable! Howzzat?

Probably the hand dryer.
Fewer trees are ripped apart, but it does use electricity which is probably generated by burning coal or gas.
There's also nothing to dispose of with the hand dryer. And I'm pretty sure that the energy used to make the towel, deliver the towel, dispose of the towel and recycle the towel add up to more than the hand dryer.

Paper towels win hands down.
The drier runs on electricity which in the main comes from coal oil or gas fired power stations.
Oil accounted for 43 percent of global carbon emissions from fossil fuels in 2002, while coal accounted for 37 percent; natural gas made up the remainder.
Paper uses trees specificaly grown for that purpose. These trees produce oxygen and use up carbon particularly when they are young. Therefore they are a net gain for ecology.
However that said, paper would be far worse than electricity if it is recycled. Recycling paper employs both energy and chemicals and means the trees are not grown. That would create a nett loss.

I would say electric hand dryers since they don't require the use of trees. I've noticed certain businesses near me changing from paper to electric dryers.

Its a different set of problems
Paper decreeses the forests that the paper pulp comes from or if it is recycled put more chlorine that is used to clean it back into the rivers and environment.
Hand driers disperse any bacteria left on the hands, wrist and any other part of the body into the open atmospher.
They also use up valuable elecricity that has probably been manufactured with the use of fossil fuels and dispersing CO2 into the atmospher
I would dry them on the tail of your shirt or never wash them ....lol

hand dryer, though it depends on what part of the environment you want to save. Hand dryers need power, which will likely come from fossil fuels, and will contribute to the destruction of the ozone layer and global warming. Paper towels will contribute to the destruction of the forests, especially in the tropics, which will drastically affect our air supply.

Maybe paper towels cos you can make them from recycled paper and they can be biodegradable, But, have you ever used a handryer in Ikea? They are super fast and dry your hands in about 2 seconds so they probably win

I would say the electric hand dryers however you have to remember that they are not hygienic as they trap bacterias from the user before you and the surrounding air and when you came to dry your hand those germs stick on you.
