I had a broker run my credit 13-- thru all 3 bureaus. times. It sucks. You can try to send letters to the bureaus, but most likely you're screwed.

How many is too many? A broker often HAS to pull your scores to give them to the companies for possible approval. A good one would do it once ot get your scores and better research your possibilities before having each individual pull them.

The good news is, multiple inquiries all together in a short time span is considered "shopping' and not as bad as if they'd been sapced out over more time.

Your best option is to report him to his boss or the BBB....if he did it an insane amount of time-- 20,30,50,100....then maybe you could sue.

No you can't. If you agree to apply for a loan from a lender you are giving them permission to perform a credit check on you. The lenders do not have any influence on whether or not the credit check effects your rating, however governments should put in place a law that would require lenders to clearly state (not in fine print) that a credit check may affect your credit score.

A better idea would be to eliminate this policy set by the credit bureau's altogether. Credit should not be judged if a lender finds you favorable for a loan, only if you do not pay it back.

No if you were tempting to get credit, or have credit, with the lender. You can send them a letter disputing their inquiries. Below is a link for a inquiry dispute.

First of all, do you have the money to sue them?
Nobody can get a credit enquiry on you without your permission.
Multiple enquiries when looking for car financing or a mortgage aren't held against you by the banks .....it's looked at as prudent borrowing (they assume you're shopping for rates)
Save your money, is my advice and stay away from those "Don't pay for a year" promotions.....they will do you in fast.

Not sure what you mean by too many inquiries...they need to get your permission to run a credit check.
