abelkhouche, because not all obey the word of God. Those that did do these things, they will face judgment. I figure that what ever the Bible contained at the time Jesus walked the earth was correct and the New Testament also. Sometime I plan to do a little research for myself (right now I am researching another thing) to see which way it really goes - that some added or removed some of the books. Meanwhile, I know that what is there is God's Word and I will follow his Word's.

The protestants removed books from the bible since the CAtholic bible came first. Martin Luther, the man who founded protestants, was Catholic until he left the church.

The Protestants did not remove them. They were never part of the originallly recognized collection of books. A better question you could have asked is why did the Catholic church add books to the bible?

babo... is completely wrong. It is just a difference in beliefs i guess. Us Protestants put the Bible together in a way that fit our doctrines. I'm not totally sure if this was right or if Catholicism was right. There are many flaws with both, but we must remember that we are all Christians and we all have a personal relationship with God.

ooh..you're really askin for warfare here...haha

but in all seriousness i am a catholic too...and i dont understand some of these things protestants believe either.

they take the word of God so literally, except for the holy eucharist, good works, and the church's authority

(which are all plainly and boldly found in scripture)
