usually around $50. It is true males are cheaper because the procedure is much more easier he's old enough at 5 months to get fixed.

I don't know prices, I am not in the UK or US. It is cheaper for males, because it is simpler. He will not know what you did and won't be mad. He will be a little down the first couple of days because of anaesthesia, but he'll soon be fine. The operation is really simple for males and they're not in pain.
Just keep in mind that he'll be more suxsceptible to urinary tract disease (crystal formaltion, blockage), and you must feed him food for neutered males that prevents urinary problems. And if ever in his lifetime you see him peeing in strange places or straining without peeing, you must go to the vet immediately.
He'll still be playful, but more greedy. Make sure you control jis weight and not let him eat as much as he wants. Fix him when he is at least 6 months old.

I live in Colorado and we got our malw cat fixed at Planned Pethood. You should see if you have one of there because they were really cheap. It was only $50 and yes they are cheaper to fix then girls. My cat wasn't mad at me when we fixed him. He might be a little stand-offish for a week or so but then he'll be back to his normal self. He should stay the same old cat that you know as soon as his wound heals. Good Luck

you should get him fixed at 6 months!! helps keep him from ever spraying! if they are older, they some times still spray after being fixed! price depends on the laws in your state! in some states the cat has to have a rabies shot before they will fix it!! males are cheaper! i would say it should be about $100.! lots of luck:)

Everyone's right about him not getting mad but where do you live? Its only 40 to get them fixed in Louisiana. Also if you visit the ASPCA site you can get a coupon for $10 off because they encourage fixing your aniamals.

It is about $50 for a male cat. More for female. Some cats will change and some will not.
