This is probably normal incisal edge translucence. Many of your friends have exactly the same "condition," but you just can't see it. This translucency is not really evident to anyone unless they are looking at you from right in front of your face with a bright light. I am sure that you noticed it in the bathroom mirror.
You can NOT make this go away by changes in your diet, as it is NOT indicative of any deficiency. There is absolutely no mechanism for calcium to get from your blood stream to the biting edge of your teeth, so do not start taking calcium supplements, which I know from prior experience here that many will suggest.
Just relax about it knowing that it is a completely normal finding, especially among younger people who do not have much wear on the biting edges of their front teeth.

Several things can cause front teeth to appear more transparent or translucent...........
1. If you grind your teeth, then you may have worn all the enamel off the backside of them. They are thinner and thus will appear to be translucent, usually kind of clearish gray.
2. If you have been bleaching your teeth for an extended period of time, it is possible that you have bleached all of the opacity out of your enamel and some of the dentin underneath the enamel layer. This would do the same thing and make them appear translucent. In extreme cases, people have bleached so much their front teeth appear to be almost clear or transparent.

Ask your dentist for advice, it could be as a result of number of things, they will be able to find out what the problem is & suggest a solution.
In my opinion, regarding teeth, catching & solving a problem earlier rather than later is always the cheaper & less painfull route to take ....
Good luck, go book an appointment now !!

That sounds very much like you are losing the enamel from them. Which could be due to all sorts of things, do you smoke? Your diet do you have enough calcium enriched foods. Go see your dentist, I'm sure he will sort your problem out.

It sounds like the enamel on you teeth is eroding. It's called acid erosion. The acid from foods when you eat attacks enamel and thus leads to your teeth appearing transparent!

Maybe acid erosion. Caused not by sweets but by acid found in fruit and fruit juices. There are toothpastes for it and yeah, talk to the dentist at your next appointment.

the enamel is being worn away by all the acid you are consuming. Do you like lemons etc? Try to get to your dentist and he will coat them with a sealant to protect them from further damage. Sometimes the tooth attacks itself (true), so get there asap.
