What comes first.....a perm or bleach and color??

I plan on perming my hair and giving myself some under-color. But i need to know what one to do first. also..isnt there a 2 week wait in between the two? thanks

I have been a hair dresser for over 10 years and I promise if you are going lighter perm the hair first. Perms make special perms for hair color that isn't as harsh. Do wait about 2 weeks though. If you are going darker though, do your perm first. Going darker isn't as bad on your hair and the perm can strip out the color. Still wait 2 weeks.

I suggest that your perm then bleach. If your bleach first, the chemicals from the perm might makr the color dull or tun a different color. but if you perm first you can avoid taking away the color. Bleach wont affect the perm in any way. people say two weeks but if you take really good care of your hair and use good products then you only have to wait one week.i lnow from experience

cause if you dye it first the perm may drain some of the color.
FYI: don't do it all at once.
wait at lease 2 weeks before you put another chemical in your hair.

Wait as long as you can in between. It will not matter which you do first. Double processing hair is bad enough, you'll be triple processing. So wait as long as possible to do the second.
