i am a vet tech and what we recommend is frontline and its a flea and tick prevention. Its just a simple amplicator that you cut the top off and pour the liquid (contents) in between the dogs shoulder blades (spread the hair) and the skin with absorb it. ITs water proof so just in case you didnt know it was going to rain when you put it on..but also you cant give it a bath 24 hrs before and after putting it on. and it kills the fleas instantly..all you need to do is do this once a month in insure the product.

Most pet supply stores carry a form of garlic capsule that they recommend as a natural form of flea repellent. You can find it online, as well, on most of the pet supply websites. I have also heard of people just chopping up raw garlic and adding to the dog's food. I personally have never tried either so I can't vouch for their effectiveness. I do know that cedar bedding for your dog will help repel fleas.

Well any thing like Frontline or simple flea and tick preventors at a local store. That should do the trick and to keep them from comming back use a house spray to keep them out. Spray there bed and pretty much were ever your animal goes.

I know of nothing that you can feed them, but you can bath them in Dawn Dish Liq. and that will help you with the flee problem and get some stuff to spray on them. I use That Adams Flee spray. Which cost about $12.00. And it does work good. You only put it one every 10 to 14 days. After you spray it on them lightly, then rub it all over. The flees will drop off of them. I use it for my cat and my little house dog. This stuff goes a long way. thanks sandy_buckie

works for people, too. I use garlic all summer as an insect repellent. Unfortunately, it works as a woman repellent as well
