The other fruits you listed tend to be acid and as such some people have problems eating them on an empty stomach. I know of no reason to include bananas in this group however.

Wow! I always eat bananas on an empty stomach. I've never heard that before! Infact, I think I eat oranges on an empty stomach too. I'm screwed . . .

I never heard that when my mom got hungry the doc told here to eat a banana and some peanut butter the only thing i have heard not to do was drink milk and OJ for breakfast because the orange juice make the milk curdle.

I thought bananas was one of the perfect fruits, although I read once that they could sometimes cause constipation. so maybe on an empty stomach they could bind you up. I just bought some today, eat 1or 2 every day.

I have never heard that and I wonder why someone would think that's so?

The only reason I can think of is that bananas have potassium and are high in sugar, but neither would be a problem for a reasonably healthy person.

She needs to see a psychiatrist. Seriously. She has an eating disorder and it won't go away on it's own. Youshould talk to her parents or a school counselor or teacher. She needs help ASAP! Does she even see she has a problem or does she think what she's doing is okay?
