I'm an atheist.

It's not a woman's right to conceive children. If you are unfortunate not to be able to have children naturally then you should accept it. Most women have the choice of IVF but the cut off point should be 35 years of age.

I am a Christian and I'm not keen on IVF especially for older women because how long are there going to be around. We should be sympathetic to those who want IVF because they want to have there own children but there is many children in care who crying out to be loved.I'm not a big fan of Madonna but she has highlighted the plight of children in certain African countries and there's still children in dire need in Roumania.

Nothing to do with religion and everything to do with what nature intended. We dabble and play with nature at our peril. I know youcould argue all medicine is dabbling with nature but I feel that matters such as IVF in elderly women may be a step too far.

In Vitro Fertilization OR test-tube babies is for people who can not conceive normally.
It should be available for all couples of normal child bearing age.
The older you are the greater the risk to the mother and the baby.
Babies need a lot of time, energy, love, attention etc. etc.
It is believed these are generally difficult with age.

I'm a Jehovah's Witness and this is mainly a continuous matter. The couple does the research (both biblical and medical) and they make their own decisions to go forward or not.
