Cider, Beer and Wine may be consumed from the age of 16 on, spirits (Cognac, Vodka etc.) may be consumed from 18 on. Cigarettes and Tobacco may be consumed from 18 on.
If you look younger than 18, and a bar(wo)man, waiter(ess) etc. asks you for some ID, SHOW HIM/HER promptly. Not doing so means no drink.

It's 16 for soft drinks like beer and wine, but it's 18 for liquor like vodka and whisky.
So I don't think you need to worry, if you want you will get drunk because bars will never ask for ID if you order a soft drink.

In most countries it's between 16 and 18. We're the exception (21). Also, in most countries it's not enforced like here i.e. having to show ID etc...

no matter where you are in switzerland for alcohol you have to be years old when you want to by beer or wine.
whenever you want to have something stronger you have to be 18 years old
