We saw a semi-trailer with three flags on the sides....

FIRST the Mexican flag
THEN the Canadian flag
Finally......the American Flag.

People...you must believe that there is a serious attempt to erase our borders by our government.....amazing.....

Are you angry that we will be USED by other countries to further THEIR causes?

We need to build our fence and militarize our borders NOW!

Not, mad, no. Determined, yes. I saw the same thing on a used bookstore the other day. It is a differing political view, but not a statement that one country is better than another.

I like us separate, but having friends is nice. The 'free flow of people' doesn't work when your neighbor to the south doesn't have universal education though. We and Canada would end up educating all of their poor at the expense of educational standards for our own children.

I also LIKE the American culture. I like the Mexican culture. I like the Canadian culture (well, with some reservations to the French part.) I don't want a 'CaMerMex' culture, thanks.

@Julia- I feel like that's the worst advice ever. People who do that usually end up snapping and shooting up the school. I totally believe you, by the way. I've read some of your other questions (like the ones about the butt slapping game) and that school is totally sick. And I know how it feels to have a counselor hate you (that ones a long story. But it all worked out for the best when he quit, and I got a new one :D) Third, I know what it feels like to be seriously bullied. Not for writing, but for other personal reasons. One good thing is that it sounds like Seth is a really awesome friend. That's good, don't let him out of your sight ;) The thing is, I would have punched her in her whore face. I hate to say that, but that's going too far, even if you did *hug* (just a stupid hug?!?!) her boyfriend. I hate to say violence is the answer, but it might be. But remember, life isn't like a high school movie. If all else fails, go to your local news. They THRIVE of stories like this. Then your school will be forced to take action.

Where were you when NAFTA was voted in???? We bring more products in to be sold here than we export. This was the gateway to erasing "OUR" borders. However, Mexico and Canada are very happy with the agreement, especially since their borders are intact.....

Yes, we are a nation of many different people. The key here is "ONE NATION". The issue is NOT about ethnicity!!! This is not a form of racism!!!! Such a simple issue that is being convoluted.

Canada simply put a price tag on immigration - your asset level before they allow you a piece of their pie!

Mexicans cross the border "illegally" by bypassing immigration laws, Canadians legally work here and return home nightly - along with their pay intact, having NO TAXES removed!

I don't care if you're Mexican or Canadian - I simply am tired of working my butt off to make up the difference!!!!!

You can't twist this one....

Which side of the truck? In the U.S., the American Flag is always flown to the right in the United States and at equal height. So, assuming you say "First" meaning "left most" - as if you were reading - then the trucker has the flags in the proper order.

Since Canada and Mexico are two of our strongest trading partners and bolster our economy (Mexicans claim we're exploiting them...) - I say "kudos" for the trucker for following the proper ettiquette for displaying the U.S. Flag.

Now if my neighbors would take down their tattered, faded flags or properly illuminate them at night. I'd be thrilled.

Honey, that should have went w/o saying from the get-go. Our constitution should merit the US well-paid well-fed govt, to give us their reason for lack of enforcement in this area. Don't they get paid for protecting this country and answering to the people. There is something more influential involved and WE THE PEOPLE are fretting instead of demanding answers!

Get over it. As an older person, don't you want to keep the peace instead of trying to rile people? Jeez, get a hobby. Knitting for the grand kids sounds good.

If you would have driven from the opposite direction you would see

First the American Flag
Then the Canadian flag
Finally .... the Mexican flag.

What's wrong with freedom of expression? I do not know what itched you????

I think there are real issues to be concerned about, not who has what flag painted on their truck.
